Jinja is a popular backpacker’s location in the east of Uganda. This is where you can find the source of the river Nile. And yes, people seriously undertook numerous expeditions in order to be the first person to find the source of the Nile.
As Jinja’s popularity is due to it being the origin of a river, it’s not a big surprise that most of the things to do in Jinja involve water. The most popular by far is white water rafting. We had an amazing time rafting on the Nile.
